Coviv – Exhibition by Daniel Connell (2020-2021)
Coviv was a moving portrait exhibition by Daniel Connell, held at Newmarch Gallery, focusing on the lives and contributions of temporary visa holders during the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by the uncertainty caused by political messaging in early 2020, the exhibition featured 14 expressive realism portraits based on submissions from individuals affected by Australia's temporary visa policies.
I collaborated on the project by producing the video documentation and designing the exhibition's visual communication. The video captured the emotional narrative behind the portraits, interweaving footage of the artist’s process with participant stories. The graphic design elements—including exhibition titles, wall text, and social media assets—were created with a clean, human-centred aesthetic to support the powerful storytelling and community-driven spirit of the project.
